Choosing the Best Criminal Attorney
Choosing a lawyer for a criminal case is not an easy decision - most people don't usually have a regular criminal defense attorney like they do with a mechanic or family doctor. The process can be complicated by the fact that many people do not necessarily know what makes a "good" lawyer, especially in a criminal case.
We encourage you to find a criminal defense attorney who not only supports you but also has experience directly relevant to your case. These are often lawyers who know exactly what to do and how to get things done - without consulting resources or current court decisions.
In addition, it is important to remember that while a lawyer may have the knowledge to handle your case, they may not necessarily have the experience to handle your situation. Consider the many different types of attorneys, including:
- Those who have years of consulting experience but no litigation experience
- Those who specialize in drafting contracts and representing estates
- Those who have experience in a courtroom and participate in complex court proceedings
- Those familiar with the Lancaster, PA criminal court system.
Ultimately, it is not about choosing the "best" lawyer - but about choosing the "right" lawyer.
